Rocker panel rust/rot how to fix without welding?

Hello all. I own a 2004 Jeep Liberty with a little over 109K miles. I'm trying to keep this Jeep as long as possible but my downfall are the rusted/rotted rocker panels. I do not own a weld or have anyone to help me fix this. I have school aged children and recently became a widow. I used to help my husband work on our Jeeps on minor things we could handle. I don't have his Jeep as a backup I had to sell it to get by paying bills (he had a 2008 Wrangler and I wasn't a fan of it, lol).We put a lot of money into my Jeep, the engine was rebuilt and the head gaskets were replaced, etc. I have seen slip on rocker panels but I would like to hear some advice/opinions on here, please. Hello - I just joined the KJ Forum so I could respond to your question.

Here is a link to a YouTube video that you may find helpful. He ordered slip-on replacement panels that he installed after removing as much rusted rocker panel as possible and then treating it with ant-corrosive coating.

Thank you. I forgot to also point out (I mentioned this on a post elsewhere) that the tread plate, rocker mold behind the driver's side is not stable. I can put my foot on it and it moves. Luckily it can stand my kids' weight when they enter the Jeep but I'm at the point now after feedback from another here and elsewhere that it's time to let the Jeep go. It's only worth between $500 - $1500 as is and to pay for the labor and parts are worthless at this point. But thank you for trying to help.
