There's an import dealer near one of my customer sites that has 2 Renegades on the lot. Checking the pictures on their website it appears that one is a Limited with some Renegade add-ons and one is badged Renegade.

The thing is, looking at the interior pictures I don't see the 4WD shifter on the console and none of them are badged "Trail Rated" or "4X4".

Did they make a Renegade in 4X2?

Here is a link to the dealer: http://www.importone.com/inventory.htm

Click on browse then go to page 12.

Oh, I passed by there Wednesday and there is now a Jedi Edition (white) on the lot now that has not made it to their website yet.

Thanks...Timmer

Those are both 4X2s. They have coin pockets where the t-case selector should be, on the left side of the gear selector just in front of the E-brake.
My opinion, who cares if they made a 4X2 Renegade? What would be the point? Jeeps have 4 wheel drive!!!:D

I care because I want to trade, swap, deal, or steal my 2WD Limited for a 4X4 Renegade, with leather seats preferably.

I'm looking around and I didn't know they made them in 2WD is all.

When we went to look at KJs they had a 4x2 rennin and a 4x4 rennie. By the time we went on Monday, they had already sold the 4x2 and we got stuck with the 4x4:D . All kidding aside, I was really wanting the 4x4 anyway. Two years later I am still nowhere near finished with modsrockon.gif

It seems strange that they would make a Rennegade model in 2wd, especially since they come with the off-road lights on top. At least the ones I've noticed had the lights.

Almost all of the Renegades I've seen on-line have been 2WD and that surprised me.

Even though the mods are not as good as other versions, I'd like to get the 4X4 KJ Renegade before I'm forced to get a box with square headlights.

My Pre-lowered 02 Limited 2WD still rocks for what I need it to do and in fact I had a friend from Oakland visit last week and he was surprised it was that old.

On an aside note:

We've had torrential rain here today and listening to the radio I just heard someone complaining about people in SUV's plowing through puddles.

Made me laugh...

Sorry you took offense! That green face:D was indicating a bit of humor. My jist is that I'd be looking for a 4X4 first, then see if it's a Renegade. Apparently the DCX marketing department has decided that the Renegade trim bits appeal to soccer moms who want to look *********, & they make a 4X2.

The 05 must have had the light bar added? I thought 05+ they took away the light bar for Renegade models, unless specified as a wanted accessory.

It's nice to have the 04 model with all the trimmings. Of course, I removed the roof basket and OEM rails for better aftermarkets.
