Removing seat covers

I did some research about this and I didn't really get a good answer. I removed the seats from the Jeep and used a fabric cleaning solution and with a steam vac. I then used cleaned it with water to make sure that all the solution was removed. when they dried they still look like they have residue in them...

Can I take them off and put them in the wash? I need these seats clean!

Yes, gentle cycle though, then air dry.
