Hmm - what to do next ?

1) use seatbelt
2) cut the belt buckle from rear center if nobody uses it (if you don't use i doubt they will use) and stick in the front buckle lock
3) find a salvage jeep and get the buckle only
4) buckle first, then sit in your seat
4B) follow other instructions found in the other topics

I traced out the seat belt buckle on a piece of 2mm thick ABS plastic and cut it out.. Whenever the chime gets on my nerves, I just click it in..

Can't you just twist the wires together so it always thinks it plugged in?

hey guys, I use my seatbelt on the street always, but almost every weekend I go to the beach, and we drive around on the sand, no need for seat belts there, its a lonely beach, no people, no cars.. but on the street, my best reccomendation is to put on your seatbelts, it might sound corny, but it can save your life! \:D/

So, just click it in.. I still don't get what's the problem? You don't need to be sitting in the car for ding ding to go away, just pull the belt and click it, even if you are not sitting in the jeep. Is that simple enough? O:)

LOL. Agreed. I was thinking why not just click the seat belt if your working on the JEEP?

I always wear my seatbelt because my dad had a terrible wreck in a mustang a few years ago and if he hadn't have been wearing his seatbelt the steering column would have went thru his chest, but I hate when I'm waiting in the car at the mall when the car is in park! The thing dings! Yes, I can put the belt on and make it stop but that's not comfortable for setting in the parking lot. Anyway what is this ritual? I can't find it!

Glad my KJ doesn't do that, just dings with the driver's door open with the key in, engine off,but mine is a '02.

Once again proving my theory that 2002 Libertys are the best Libertys.

But seriously, click it or ticket people! Seatbelts save lives!!

Unplug the plug

if you dont have power seats or anything just unplug the one plug thats under the seat...that is of course if your not concerned about an accident because it does turn of the air bag...
