Is your rear upper shock bushing too short to fit between the factory mount?
I dug this up again.
Trying to keep it up to date.
Take note I have not personally done this but plan on it.
Most just use washers to fill the void.
Jcook79 did a write up on his build and he used this:
In case that link goes bad this is what you are looking for:
uxcell 304 Stainless Steel Tube, OD 16mm x 2mm Wall Thick 250mm Length Capillary Metal Tubing for Industry Machinery
Cut to length and replaced the ones that come in the Bilstien 24-185660 upper bushing.
I’m going to try it on my rancho 9000’s.
I was originally just going to try and press out the ones on my factory replacement. Then I came across this.
I will come back and update after install.
Here’s his write up:

This is correct, the Bilstein shock mounts are narrower than the Jeep’s rear mounting points. I’m using washers right now to shim them and it is working well. The key is to take up the space so the shock mounts will be clamped securely. If they have any room to move, you will have banging as the rear axle articulates over bumps.
