Rear right door lock noise

Just tonight when I lock my doors my rear right door makes a drilling noise for a second. but when I unlock it, it makes no noise. Anyone have any idea.

I have had that before. Couple of items, lack of lube on lock linkage , or a lock solenoid going bad.

any idea how much to fix it if the solonoid is bad?

Just so happened , mine went out under warranty. Pretty much a dealership item though. Find one close you trust and give their parts dept. a call.

About $80.00 retail for the right rear lock. Plus labor.
