I re-set my My 2002 Liberty 's door locks to stop the doors from automatically locking, it works OK until I turn the engine off then it reverts to automatically locking the doors again. Ive checked the fuses and relays. It seems like it looses its memory, any ideas?

Sounds like the BCM (body control module) might be acting up.
The fastest and easiest thing to try to fix it is to simply disconnect the battery ground for 15 to 30 minutes and then reconnect the ground again.

The lack of 12v power forces ALL of the computer/control modules and memories into a "hard reset" back to factory parameters.

After that, use your overhead console (or whatever other method) to once again program the lock actuation mode that you prefer and see if sticks after a test drive.

FYI, forcing a "factory reset" this way can work for all sorts of seeming electrical gremlins that are controlled by the ECM and/or its various modules.

I think you are right. I looked at replacing it until I realized the amount of work it would take to replace it. Who ever thought up the way they installed this needs to be punished by having to remove one everyday for the rest of his life.
