Rear brakes noisy

Hi all, when I get into my 02 KJ first thing, the rear brakes seem to be on and make a screeching noise for about 15sec, then all is good.
Dont think it is the handbrake as I never put it on.
Has anyone heard of this as I have looked everywhere and dont find anything.

KJ parking brakes aren't famous for much other than problems. The backing plates rust away or the little drum brake mechanism parts inside the rotors moved around. Broke a spring, threw a shoe?
