Hi all,
I am looking into re-gearing to 4.10 after moving to 247/75/16 wheels...
I know there are many threads talking about this but all of them are a couple of years old and I want to make sure I am in the right direction and not much has changed...

I have a 2006 3.7 sport...
As I understood I will need the following parts:
https://jbaoffroad.com/jeep/liberty...ts/kj-ring-and-pinion-master-install-kit.html
https://jbaoffroad.com/jeep/liberty...e-components/spicer-4-10-ring-and-pinion.html

https://jbaoffroad.com/jeep/liberty...ro-gear-c8-25-410-ng-ring-and-pinion-set.html

1. Is there any other worthy cheaper alternative ?
2. What is the difference between the front axle master install kit and the following:

Regards,
Ariel.

I'd consider a locker in the rear and maybe some kind of ls in front since your going to the trouble anyway. I haven't made either of these upgrades myself (something about time and money) so I'll let others advise from experience.

you could consider finding a used Dana 30A from a 4 cylinder that will be 4.10s.

You won't find a rear axle for the swap. I seem to recall something about metric ring gear bolts on the 2006 and 2007's. i'm sure somebody will remember.

I really liked the crush-sleeve eliminator for when I re-did the pinion bearings. Trial and check your install as many times as you like without junking a crush sleeve each time.

The ring gear bolts went to 10mm for 2005 (from 3/8"). Not 100% sure if this is enough to worry about. Older carriers/lockers are made for 3/8" bolts to match older gears (i.e. XJ, Dakota, etc).
