It'll work, but not with the speed that it needs to.

The thinner oil can "change direction" better to deactivate the lifters on the MDS Hemi...best way ThunderbirdJunkie can 'splain

Hmm interesting.. I will have to read some more on the subject...

Its a neat way to save gas and increase economy but shutting down some cylinders. What i find interesting is the engine doesn't feel like its loping or missing without those firing.

It definitely works wonders. My aunt had a '05 300C with the 5.7L Hemi (no less for her...) and she got pretty close to 30MPG occasionally, straight highway. Who would have thought a 5.7L V8 would get anywhere NEAR 30MPG!?

Since my Durango is an 05, it doesn't have MDS. But I still got about 25 on the highway once....=D>

My '86 Mustang GT 5.OL 5 speed can push 25-27 on the highway.
