Hi All,
First post! I have been reading a bunch of radiator threads, but unfortunately the answer to my question eludes me.
My wife has a 2005 KJ Limited for which I am replacing the radiator. I ordered a CSF #3363 radiator (I know, not the best brand) from Quadratec and it is exactly the same except for two holes on the passenger side which are not on the original radiator.
Based on their position, am I correct in assuming these are for transmission cooling lines? If so, they are unneeded for my replacement as the Jeep has a separate ****** cooler. However, I do want to plug them, even if nothing is flowing through them, so no debris/critters get in there.
Thus my dilemma - looks like a 5/8" diameter bolt will fit, yet the thread pattern is wrong. Went to both Auto Zone and Lowes with radiator in hand looking for brass pipe fittings and none of those worked either.
Thoughts? Should I not worry about them and just leave them or cover with duct tape? I just want to make sure I can wrap this up with no issues. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks!
