Quick question about Rusty's spacer lift kit

I've just installed the rusty's spacer lift kit 2.5. Everything's fine, except the suspension makes unpleasant noises when i jump something. How to expell this noise from the front i know - i should install these

,which wont hit the springs and everything will be ok, but what do i do with the rear...?

If your lift came with Rustys rear shocks replace them, they make a lot of noise. As for the front you need to see if your upper ball joint comes in contact with the spring.

No i'm using the stock shocks right now... The noise comes only when i drive off like pavement or a rock, but not when im driving on anything, sounds like smth hits smth, similar to the front. Any other suggestions..?

You apparently didn't research very well, or very wisely when choosing your lift kit.

Your rear stock shocks are not long enough now that you're lifted. Pick up a pair of longer rear shocks for a Dodge Durrango such as Rancho RSX 17004 to eliminate the problem in the rear.

As for the front, you can expect damage to the upper A-Arm ball joints and damage to the front struts with that 2.5" OTT Spacer style front lift. ( Don't understand why they still sell this junk!)

Solution - Remove front spacer and install Old Man Emu Heavy duty front lift coil springs along with a set of Rancho H.D. 17505 front struts. Also check upper ball joints, if bad , replace upper A-Arms.

Ok, now that's some information. Actually i have researched...the thing is that it is much more expensive to order a full lift kit (with coil springs, shocks an stuff), cos i'll have to pay a lot for the extra weight and as liberty is not so popular in Russia, you cannot find any lift kits for it here, you have to order...so i've chosen the least heavy (as far as i could judge).

So ok, i will replace the rear shocks, but will the problem still remain if i change the a-arms to the ones i have posted? Because the only problem i know is that the stock a-arms hit the springs...

p.s. i am gonna order the full lift kit, but in a year or so, that is why i want to find out what i have to do to drive painlessly for now...

comes down to the Rustys spacer just not being a good kit overall, with what you will pay now for the upper control arms you could of had a decent lift. Check ARB/OME they have dealers all over the world and so much better than Rustys anyways

There's no problem with dealers, the problem is they dont sell parts for liberty aswell...
And as i understand i'm gonna need the new a-arms anyway if i want to have 2.5 lift or more...?

you're gonna need front struts also with that spacer lift. matter of time before they blow out. just sayin.

Blah blah blah, you obviously shouldn't be posting on this forum because you have no clue what you are talking about. What does an ott spacer have to with the ball joints. anytime you lift with any sort of lift it is going to bring the upper arm and ball joint closer to the spring/strut. The issue is over compressing the strut.

--Get yourself some longer bump stops. Energy suspension or skyjacker sells them. it will save your struts from blowing up. Spacer lift is fine as long as you have it set up right. Give me a break people. I have nearly 20k on mine.

This is so funny to read through the unknowing trying to lead the unwise. OTTs are bad period! A loner bumpstop may help some but its only a band aid repair. But go with what you think is true thats all that matters I guess its your vehicle and life!

yeah I am going to have to go ahead and disagree with you there. I have had my jeep for two years and have ran the OTT for about the same amount of time. The only issue and there is only 1 issue is over compressing the front strut. A properly lengthed bump stop is not a "band aid" it is a necessity. Without it, you can kiss your struts goodbye...eventually depending on how hard you are. This isn't rocket science Tom. OTT isn't the devil, it is an inexpensive solution to a quick couple of inches of lift. Honestly I am sure it can perform just as well as a frankie can off road, give me a break we are only talking a inch more in ground clearance and a not much more in articulation.

Oh but my friend it is rocket science, the more you know about how the suspension works the more you can see that while it maybe OK for a while and on main roads, over time or unless you have a lot longer struts, then there will be problems. A bump stop will work to a point, but you are banging down on the bumpstop more than what a normal lifted suspension would, AND I AGREE IT IS A NECESSITY, DUE TO POOR DESIGN OF THE LIFT. But in the end be happy with what you have, I guess. I have only been building 4 wheel drives since 1972, so WTH do I know??!!! LOL I guess nothing but who cares I sure dont !!!! LOL

Stock struts in the front, rusty's shocks in the back. Skyjacker bump stop in the front.

Unfortunately i couldnt find skyjacker's bump stops on the net for Liberty...do you have any links concernig them? Im gonna order them from Russia, so it would be great if the shop had wide delivery range in America, so that the company i use for this will have no problems getting them for me...
