(blarg) Hi does anyone know how to program that three botton console on the roof of the jeep liberty to open the garage gate???? The manual i've got doesn't explain it!

This is from my 02 manual:

STANDARD PROCEDURE - SETTING
TRANSMITTER CODES
(1) Turn off the engine.
(2) Erase the factory test codes by pressing buttons
1 and 3. Release the buttons when the two
green lights begin to flash (about 20 seconds).
(3) Choose one of the three buttons to train. Place
the hand-held transmitter within one inch of the universal
transmitter and push the buttons on both
transmitters. The green dot below the house symbol
will begin to flash slowly.
(4) When the red light on the universal transmitter
begins to flash rapidly (this may take as long as
60 seconds), release both buttons. Your universal
transmitter is now “trained”. To train the other buttons,
repeat Step 3 and Step 4. Be sure to keep your
hand-held transmitter in case you need to retrain the
universal transmitter.

I just did a search for 2006 Home Link programming and basically came up with the same instructions so hopefully that will work.

I don't have the 2006 service manual so maybe someone else can chime in.

PS - An acquaintance from years back lived in Venezuela, her father was an Ambassador from Australia (I think). I learned a good bit of Spanish from the course he took, which she had lent me.

If you're trying to open a gate it probably won't be that simple. Gates usually use a rolling code and they're a bit more complicated to program, but can usually be done.

Our garage door opener has rolling codes and mine was very simple to set. It was in the OM.
