Problem with my Jeep

Can some one help me please with this problem I have a 2006 liberty crd and for some reason it shuts off and I have to wait about an hour than it start again and do the same thing I changed the filter housing but it still do the same did this happened to someone in the forum .thank you in advance

Without more details, its hard to say, but it does sound like a cam/crank sensor issue.... if the shutdown happens once the vehicle gets hot. I wouldn't go based off of this though. There is just too little info provided to be of any actual help. I suggest taking it to a local mechanic. A mechanic who is somewhat used to diesels will be a plus.

I did changed the filter housing and put a check valve on the incoming line but it didn’t solved the problem thank you in advance

I went through this (or really similar) a while back. After finding others with the same problem online, they all pointed to a crankshaft position sensor. The part that is a bit confusing about it, is that the problem does NOT light a Check Engine Light, or register any pending codes. I replaced the sensor, and that fixed it. If memory serves, the sensor is located low on the passenger side of the engine block, towards the rear of the engine, just above the oil pan.
