Plastic ribs on the roof?

Hey all, I wanted to know how those black plastic ribs/strips that run most of the length of the roof are for an how are they attached? They look like they are just snapped in sorta speek... if I took them off how easy are they to put back on?

I do not have them. I suspect that they are just on with some sort of adhesive. They are there to protect the finish on the roof when you throw stuff up there.

I don't have them either, just the standoffs that are molded into the roof metal. Do you have a Renegade with the plastic roof basket?

Ohh, they are probably held on with 3m double sided tape.

ever seen the top of an xj or zj? both of ours has the ribs running down the roof. Ill snap a pic if jeepzilla doesnt.
