Today I bought my first jeep liberty(2002 Sport), came with a few things that I need to fix. I am pretty handy but haven never worked with the Airbag system on any car. This is what I see, The airbag light is on. The previous owner had the passenger side seat belt latch replaced and it looks like they ripped out some wires. I can see the connector that goes back into the rug, its intact and I think it is fine. In the center console I found the wires you see in the attached image. Looking at the Driver side it seems that the wires are supposed to go up into the belt latch, but I need to know where to go from here. :killit:
Is it possible to just hook these wires together to trick the car into thinking that this is enabled all the time? I will not do this without some guidance, just so it doesn't screw anything up. If not do I just need to take the belt buckle apart and see whats going on in there? Or is this wire supposed to go to another separate cushion type of sensor in the seat?
Thanks in advance and any help would be greatly appreciated. :happy107:
