I searched, and read.

Small leak evap system, did the gas cap thing, I cleared codes, etc.

I cannot get this code to stop reappearing! I changed with a new chrysler gas cap, still does it. 3 warm cycles does not cause it to come back, it just comes back when it wants to.

Only thing I can think of is going with a Napa gas cap that I read about on here?

Has anyone else had this issue not go away on a liberty? I realize it isnt a major issue but my wife drives it and calls me everytime the MIL goes off and gets worried the thing will blow up, I need to fix!!!

Get under your Jeep and make sure all the vacuum and vent hoses coming out of the gas tank are ok. Those are usually the ones that rot and leak over time.

woops, forgot to mention I had read that as well, and checked those. they seemed to be ok, were brittle and no deep slashes or anything of the sort. I will check again.

How hard are they to replace, is it worth tossing parts at, or should I look further?

Did you try the battery disconnect to try to reset it?

no, dont need to, I have a scanner to erase the code. the issue I am having is that it keeps coming back on after being cleared, a few days/weeks after. I am going to maybe check the fuel lines again

Mine started as a small leak, then went to a large one.

The hoses looked OK but when I ran my hands over the hoses one felt funky.

It's connected to the EVAP unit in the rear...

Maybe this diagram from a different angle will help.
