Ok,
I'm about to order a Frankenlift lift kit for our KJ...
I'm thinking of the Standard Frankenlift I for $851.84
Is there any benefit to having the Frankenlift II Premium Kit at $1014.92?
Other than having struts and shocks made by OME.
It is only $163.08 more and I am not opposed to buying it, if it is better!
I have read all threads here and over on L.O.S.T. and I'm humming and hawing
as to which struts/shocks to go for.
Some people say that the Rancho rides a little bit stiffer and the OME struts/shocks are a softer ride.
One shop here (Who doesn't want my money/business due to the fact that they are a bunch of ass holes!) Say's that only OME should be used with OME Coil springs!
I don't buy that at all, but what ever!
So...

I'll be ordering early this evening so I look foreword to your folks reply!

Cheers
Ry'

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Rancho's are better in my opinion.I had OME rear shocks and quickly switched to the Rancho's,way better ride.Couldn't tell you about the fronts since I've only had SkyJacker or the Rancho's.

Either way the OME front coils and if you opt for the OME struts will have a voided warranty due to the spacer in the Frankinlift.AllJ's would be responsible for replacement if they so choose.

Ok!
I'm leaning towards the Ranco's my self, but opinions are always welcome and a good source of information!
Besides, that additional $163.08 can as well be used for other mods.

I have OME shocks on all 4 corners, and find the rears are a bit stiff. The fronts are ok since there's more weight on them I guess. I have never ran Rancho, but I would believe that they are a great shock too. All boils down to money in the end. :p

I'll quote myself here...
There is only a difference of $163.08!
And from I have read and studied the Rancho's are the one to go with.
So, what the hell. I'm going for the Frankenlift I and if I don't like it, then so be it!
I can then always buy OME struts and rear shocks.
I do plan on an ARB front bumper... Thats if I don't like the Backbone system I'm ordering as well!
Wish me luck...
I'm into it for the Long haul!

Cheers

Its really all opinions on which rides better. Personally I like my OME's but thats the only shock Ive ever had. Dont have 1 problem with the ride and they are lasting great so far. :)

Over 80,000 on my Ranchos, would not take the OMEs over them at the same price, great ride, they are holding up well and .....guess what a Lifetime warranty, check the warranty on the OME springs and shocks just for S & giggles
