Hi everyone!

I'm picking up a cheap high mileage 04 Liberty Sport as a beater to keep my budget small while we pay off debt. I've had a few Jeeps in the past (86 CJ7, 88 Cherokee, and a 93 Wrangler), so I guess this is a return for me!

Do you know if dealerships are still required to install the hitch to cover the recall?

It's possible. Some get a non-hitch reinforcing bracket.

I've got an app on my phone called "my Carfax" that helps me track maintenance on all my cars. It also tell me me of any recalls that are required. Try it out.

My KJ is going in for the trailer hitch and rear control arm recalls on the 11th! After owning this for almost a week, it's really starting to grow on me, I think my money was well spent!

They do grow on you I have 3 of them 03 bought with 78,000 miles, 04 bought new, 05 with about 80,000 . two lifted one ready to lift

I have some mods planned but I'm not sure how how much I want to throw at it since it has 139k miles.

Thanks! I'll check it out! My previous vehicle was a 2005 Honda Element with 240k miles and was going strong when I sold it. I'd love for the Liberty to make it to that milestone.
