I think I've seen new gears for your speedometer to use after you've changed tires so that the speedometer and the odometer show correct speed and mileage.

Does anyone know where to get these?

I changed the speedo gear on my TJ Wrangler some years ago. I was able to work with a pretty good parts guy at the Jeep dealer who was able to look up the gear i needed, and had it within a day or so. I would assume the KJ is the same.

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
The KJ has a tone ring and sensor in the rear diff for the speedo, changing gear ratios will not effect the speedo but taller tires will. You have to have the PCM reprogramed at a dealer to correct it.

Good info. I might just stick with the same size tire for now. They should still be a huge step up from the stock tires from what I've read. Maybe when these wear out, I'll dump some $$ into it with a lift, bigger tires, etc.
