Define budget? If your thinking of doing a spacer lift then think again because while the spacers will only cost you a couple hundred it will kill your springs and shocks at which point you might as well get an Old Man Emu lift or Iron Man 4X4 all the lift parts will only cost a little more then the stock ones. So save your self the trouble and the money wasted on the spacers and go for a proper lift straight out the gate. Check out jeepinbyal.com, they have everything you will need, good bunch of guys over there. And also take a look at the lift faqs thread (which you should have done in the first place) but we wont go there haha. You wana look for the 1.50" lift, you really get way more then that its just posted for insurance reasons, again check out the lift faqs and it will tell you what "extras" you would need to get most out of your lift.

As for the wheels and tires 255 wont fit without alot of cutting (which you dont want to do) even with a good 3.5 inches of lift from either OME or Iron Man. And you would need to re gear your diffs, also not something you want to do as it will totally kill any budget you had set. 245 is as big as you should go. And the wheels wont fit the lug pattern, so you would need spacers or whatever you wana call em.

Also the search function is your friend, someone has asked the same question you ever will and most likely it was solved within that thread.

PS. Look down below these words. ↓↓↓↓ yup right there. Thats what i have as far as lift parts go. Very nice set up, rides better then stock, (↓↓↓)and all in all it cost me less then $900. Seems like alot but but everything else is junk. I tried to (↓↓) go as cheap as possible but the good folks here talked me out of it

First the rims won't fit as they are a different bolt pattern
so you'd need to buy spacers, there goes 200 bucks
Second the those tires you are going to need at the very least 4 inches of lift and also to regear
so now you're into the 3-4000 dollar range
So now want to start over ?

There is an entire section on lifts and tires/wheels on the main forum page of what works and is best for a KJ from our members experience. A "budget boost" is crap.
