Makes squealing noise when making tight turns such as turning after backing out of garage or tight turn in parking lot. Not Tires. Noise starts when wheels are turned to just short of lock point.

Dealer recently replaced belt and tensioner. Checked and cleaned all pulleys. Could the noise be the power steering pump? Is pump OK if making this kind of noise? Dealer says OK but it does not sound like a normal noise to me. On other SUV type vehicles I have owned, the sound made when approaching the lock point is a hydraulic pumping kind of noise, not "squealing or squawking". Still under warranty. What will convince dealer to replace? Thanks for any ideas

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
From how your explaining it that sound would be 100% normal. When your getting close to full lock that pressure is building up and that noise your hearing is most likely the pressure relief opening up inside the pump itself.

Thank you for the comment. Appreciate the "this is normal because....." info. Would be nice if dealers would communicate like that
