my wifes wrecked 02 lib

here is my wifes 02 she wrecked 3 weeks ago. she was coming down an iced over paved road in 4 low doing just fine. it popped out of gear and she slid into a telephone pole. it could have been alot worse. another 3 inches to the right and she would have rolled off a 20 foot bank and probably broke her neck.

ill post the fixed pics as we just got it back from the body shop. it looks like new now as they buffed the whole jeep to blend the new black with the old.

As long as your wifes alright that's the important thing. Is the libby totaled?

Sorry to hear about your wife's accident, but most important is that she's ok. You can always replace metal.

Glad shes ok and it was fixed.

You can always replace metal.

Its the plastic that tricky to replace.

Luckily no one was hurt........and sheet metal for the KJ's is cheap.

How does it pop out of gear? Did she not keep it in 1st gear? Maybe she kept it in 2 or Drive and it did not pop out but shifted up to 2nd, lost traction? Glad she is OK. Did Airbags go off?

no it was in first. from what i can gather it was never used that much and just wasnt broke in like it should be. air bags didnt go off. she hit doing maybet 5 mph she says. repair shop said it must not have hit just right to make em pop.

Gotta be going pretty darn fast to make an air bag pop.. Depends on how and where you hit too.

Some people still believe the air bag pops when the front end bends.. It has nothing to do with that, its all about how fast you stop.
