Hello all. This is my first Jeep after a lifetime of mostly Chrysler products. It is a 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited, auto trans, 4WD w/auto, 3.7l, white on white exterior with tan interior. Needs a bottom end rebuild (got it dirt cheap). Will post when complete. Then for the lift...

How many miles on the KJ?
It may be best to find another 04 engine to swap in or do both top & bottom as a complete rebuild.

Replace the whole thing would be easier
as far as lift, read read read , lots of lifts are not worth installing

Yes you can perform a compression test on all 6 cylinders.
