My Liberty wouldn’t start today. Didn’t even make any noise when I turned the key. The battery seems fine.

Had to get it towed.

Why Chrysler Why?

The computer controls in vehicles these days require nearly precise amounts of voltage. As a result there is no period where it struggles, it eventually starts, it struggles to start, and then it eventually dies. One day it works then next it is dead. For me it was one morning it started fine and then that afternoon it didn't start to leave work and of course it was raining. Whereas in my 1988 Olds I went through a few weeks of slow and hard starts before it eventually got too annoying not to replace the crappy old battery.

you have an 06 with original battery I assume.
My experience has been that when a battery says "4 year" on it they mean it. If you have the original mopar battery the date stamp should be easy to find. This reminds me, I need to get a new battery...

Still going strong my original Mopar battery on the 2003.

I had a 2003 a few years ago. probably in 2007. It too had the original battery - that is until I jarred it pretty good hitting a good bump on a back road. I'm not positive that did it, but it would not start the next time I tried. It just clicked. I had to get a jump start to get home, then I went straight to the store for a battery.;)

The bump will do it. The plates are flaking apart and debris gets lodged between 2 plates causing a short.
