Liberty CRD - Front Axle Removal

Has anyone removed the front axle from a KJ? I have a 2002 2.5 CRD here in UK with a very noisy front diff, so bad I have removed front propshaft to keep it on the road. Is this an easy job, can the diff be changed without whole axle removal??

Do you mean the Cvs or the whole front diff?
CVs are real easy to remove
the front diff takes a little longer

I need to remove the diff I guess - unless I can get a whole servicable axle from a breakers yard...
