Hey all,

So my rear left brake light isn't working.

All bulbs in the assembly seem to be operating but the red brake light doesn't increase its brightness when the brakes are applied... any tips?

Is it just the bulb or fuse?

Thanks folks... sorry for the dumb question.

Guy I'm ridiculous. Swapped some bulbs around - it was the bulb. All fixed now - please ignore this noobish post.

I guess what I needed to know originally was that there are 2 fillaments in these bulbs. One of the fillaments went bad.

I was initially wondering if it was 2 fillaments, or maybe a switch that increased voltage to the bulb upon application of the brakes.

Don't feel too bad ... I had the same thought the other day ... for a few seconds anyway. :D

Mine failed the same way. The regular filament was still working but not the brake filament.
