KJ didn't start, then it did.

So this evening I went to a pawn shop, and parked the Jeep. Came out about 15 minutes later, went to start the KJ, and it started/stumbled, then died. Did that about 4 times. Finally, I gave it some gas and started it, and all is fine. Is this a vapor lock thing? I've started it almost instantly after shutting it down before with no issues. Any ideas, or was this just a fluke?

Thanks!

You took the Jeep to Pawn Store...
You may have hurt KJ's feelings as it may have thought.....So it told ya dont even think about it! ha ha..
Some bad gas /water vapour in fuel?
Try a marine grade ethanol stabilizer added to fuel. Even some water remover...

If you didn't get a MIL and it is running fine now probably just a fluke.....hopefully.

Hm....never thought about water in the gas. I just started it up, then shut it down, then started it 30 seconds later like normal.

I bought some STP stuff for it, seems to run better. I think they must have switched, the LR3 is running a bit "differently" too.

Lately I have been using Chevron Fuel in 94 octane (which does not contain ethanol)
& jeep really likes it. Yesterday took the jeep out onto the highway and added both the gas line antifreeze with water remover & added a bottle of Chevron Techron Concentrate into just over a half a tank.

After about 100 mile run in total you could tell the KJ had some carbon removed as it was back to a real smooth lower idle and just purred like a kitten.
Filled up now on full with 94 again. I think the valves are clean again. Kj's do not like city driving or short trips.
