KJ backbone and other winch mounting solutions

Anyone around wana weigh in on how they like the KJ backbone:

how was it for installation?

Were you able to rust proof it?

How is it holding up after a year or two of use?

Other alternatives that don't involve a full size full weight bumper?


I plan on installing one this spring when i do a rad fan kill switch, would love some extra insight before i get there!

I love mine. Got in summer of 2015. Easy to install, although the directions were a bit out dated compared to the hardware changes they've made. No big deal.

It's fine rust wise, I just used Rustoleum gloss black, so far so good. It shipped primed.

I'm not aware of anything else on the market like it.

Bolt up is easy, pattern for cutting bumper so thats easy as well
