Okay so as I said before our Jeep didn't have any keyless remotes with it so I asked Jeep.com if it was equipped with it they confirmed that it was. So found a TON of remotes on Ebay - the problem is they said you need atleast ONE remote to program the other. Is there ANYWAY around this?

If your KJ has keyless entry you can get up to 10(if I remember right) remotes and program them to the KJ.Dealer will need to program them unless you happen to have a DRBIII.You must take all remotes that you want programmed, you can have 1 or 2 programmed just make sure you bring all the remotes(even if they are not programmed to your KJ).Also if getting off ebay make sure they will work on your KJ,call dealer and give them your vin and get the part# for the remotes you need so you can get the right ones.

Dont they charge like $35 a remote? If thats the case it'd be easier to install aftermarket and have a remote start put on at the same time no?

It could be,I've got a Astro start remote starter and it also locks/unlocks my doors and opens my rear glass.Haven't used my factory remotes in like 4 1/2 years. If I didn't install the remote start myself(worked at the dealer, and is not for the faint hearted!) it would have cost about $500 for the install and remote start. If you have a factory security system it can cost more to bypass the security.

Well there is a remote start at hH Gregg for $120 installed. Locks and unlocks the doors. I don't think it does the rear door but I don't need that one. And the remote start isn't an alarm which is good!..

To my knowledge the jeep doesn't have security its just keyless.
