jeep lift glass won't open automatically

Hi,
i have a 2004 kj and when i press the lift glass button the window opens just for an inch or two and stops. it is like that since i bought it and i didn't know that it has a auto open feature until now
so my question is,
what do you think the problem is?
is it the lift supports or the latch ?

I had the same problem. I have changed the lift supports and the problem solved. Its so easy just took 10 minutes.

The lift shocks are easily replaced & Monroe is the way to go!
