Hot summer day in Florida and suddenly the 2000, (more like 2002+) Jeep Liberty began acting up, then the car stopped, so she and her sister pulled over on the side of the road, & started smoking into flames!
From the photo it seems the fire location is front L, could it be that the battery cracked from overcharging/ overheating?

When you replace the battery, highly recommended you replace the battery temperature sensor pad, not an expensive part !
Or was it the under-hood fuse panel that was responsible?
