Hello guys. So my car’s panel and dashboard light work very weirdly after I replace tail light recently. When I turn on the light, the panel light won’t turn on unless I press the brake pedal and it’s gone again as along as I release the brake pedal… other lights such as dome light functions normally. I guess it’s bad ground at tail light but I’m not sure. I wonder what’s the possible cause for this and if there’s any way to test it. I hope it’s not a huge issue that I need to go to a mechanic cus I just went to them two weeks ago for fixing transmission issues and I don’t really hope to spend a lot of money on it immediately.
It seems I cannot upload videos so I’ll just put it into a google drive Link to issue demonstration video

Thank you everyone for the help!

I’m almost 100% certain it’s a bad ground situation. Check the ground wires/straps from the battery. Remove every ground you find and clean it. Scrape the corrosion off.

I,m in Uk thinking about your fault.
Firstly you say you replace the tail light.
I believe tail lights and brake lights on KJ jeeps are a twin filament bulb.
One filament does rear light one filament does stop light with common earth
If the new bulb was faulty with a short to earth or the other filament to earth when you depress the foot brake strange things could happen as anything else on that circuit could be earthed out maybe not enough current to blow a fuse. Try another bulb and make sure the bulb connector is cleaned with some WD40 or similiar put the bulb in and remove it a few times will clean up contacts. Hope it helps
