The Jeep badge on the hood of my KJ has faded over time.
I thought I'd try repainting it, what do you think.

I'm not really that happy with it. Maybe I'll buy a replacement.

I took mine off, I like the clean look better. If someone doesn't know it's a Jeep by looking at it, then screw them! ;)

I didn't do a perfect job of taping. A close-up view of the finished job reveals it's a bit messy.
If the paint begins to flack off I'll simply buy a new badge.

Does anyone know if they come in different colors?

Pulled it off with my fingers, and rolled the remaining emblem tape onto itself with a forceful push of the thumb. If you're not the kind of person who works hard with their hands all the time, then you'll probably peel the fingerprints right off your finger tips....I didn't tho! ;)

Heat gun and plastic razor blade worked great for me, I removed the huge ugly dealer sticker, the "Liberty" and the "3.7L" Badges, The chrome was half peeled and not looking too good, I left the "Jeep" on the hood and swing gate and the "4X4" on the gate as the chrome was completely gone on them leaving them a dark grey, Looks cool!

The dealer sticker has fallen off the back of my Jeep.
To be truthful I've never liked having one.

I'm still not happy with the paint job I did on my Jeep badge.
Maybe before winter sets in I'll remove the old one and buy a new one meant for a JK.

I'd take mine off and replace it with "WILLYS" if that didn't seem like blasphemy of the old marquis. :-0

IMO I don't think it's appropriate to put the Willys name on the latest JK's.

This is a real Willys

So i got them off but i see a light outline of the emblem is this where you guys use goo gone or something similar. I too it off by hand and rubbed the adhesive off by thumb. There is no adhesive and no matter how much i rub this light outline wont come off.
