I mounted mine with bungee cord across the hangers on each side of the rear seats. I barely see it in my rear view mirror. It's just a regular rectangular jeep style gas can

Mine's just two 5 gallon plastic yellow diesel jugs wedged in the cargo area. With that, I can drive from Mooresville NC to Kyle TX - 1270 miles driveway to driveway - with only one stop for fuel somewhere around Memphis TN.
