My story: I am really just looking for a basic lift for right now. At the moment I am on a budget but eventually will be upgrading to a Frankenlift. My first question is would it be better to go with the Daystar or the Crusty's lift? And my 2nd question what all do I need to purchase to get the very most out of it.

Sorry if I sound dumb to all of this but you must understand that my first two vehicles were import cars and the main reason for purchasing my KJ was because I was tired of being restricted of where I can travel in this world!:D

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

which crustys? either way I would probably still say te daystar, but if your talking about the crsuts suspension lift just spend the extra money and go with OME HD coils and Ranchos shocks and struts

you can do an OME HD lift with ranchos for about $700 shipped to you, and there really is no point in spending a couple hundred dollars now for the daystar and ten in a year or so removing it for a suspension lift just take the money your gonna spend on the spacer and save it for the OME

PM me if you need any help installing it or lift advice

Not sure why people want to do things twice, I know about budgets but by the time you buy a Daystar , shocks, struts to do it right you have way over half of what a good lift costs anyways , just save up a couple of more months and do it right.
BUT if you really want to do it now do Daystar stay away from Rustys budget lift , you will need new rear shocks for sure and if you have over 20,000 miles on yours would do new fronts as well, ride will be a lot better. Also need to do bumpstops on the front to keep the springs from over compressing

just for example OK 4WD four springs (280)
Rancho rear shocks 65/70 each 130/140 shop around for best price
front struts 200 for two roughly again shop around
2 Teraflex # 0019301200 bumpstops front 17.00 each 801-713-3314 Teraflex Plus

if you stop and think about it you need the front and rear shocks plus the bump stops even with the daystar so 160 for the Daystar -vs- 280 for the OME coils to me that only 120 difference for a much better longer lasting better riding lift

Bure Aghali- translated, cheap is expensive
