I'm thinking of putting some mud tires on my 03 Renegade. My Jeep is not lifted and it now has 235/70/R16 tires on it now. What size should I get that will not rub? Is there a difference in size between a AT tire and a MT tire. I might get it lifted later but I need tires now. If you have pics of your unlifted Liberty on mud tires that would be a big help also. Thanks

The biggest you can run is 245/70/16 with no rubbing unlifted.

It is possible that different tire mfg and different tire designs ... an A/T vs a MT... could be a "little" different in size but not enough to cause you a problem as far as I know. They should be real close.

If the tire is the same size....between an AT and a MT, the MT's tread may make it a tad bigger, but less than a 1/2".

Cheers
