Took my first long trip this week. After a long day on the road the door started going from vent to defrost on its own. Oddly enough my Cherokee does the same thing under the same circumstances . Any ideas?

Vaccum leak. System is Vaccum controlled and defrost is the default. Check your hoses under the hood. I found a major leak the. It stopped doing that to me.

Driving into a strong headwind? Doing that can make the mode doors default to defrost.
