Hi everyone. All 3 of my HVAC knobs are cracked and I can't find them new on any Mopar parts sites (searching 2004 Liberty). Does anyone know if they used the same knobs on other Jeep/Chrysler cars or if a different knob will work?

I would highly recommend finding some at a junkyard or something near you over buying something new, thats just me though. I'm also 90% sure that you have to replace the whole assembly, the plastic knows dont just come off, I could be wrong though.

You didn't note the year of your liberty, so let me guess - one one the first 3 years? I have a 2002. also all three knobs are cracked. I have probably found 20 or more early Libertys in salvage yards over the years and I have yet to find one with ANY good knobs. All cracked! On the newer Liberty's they went with a new design with a different diameter shaft. they don't seem as prone to cracking but the aren't a direct replacement either. I don't know it swaping the whole AC/Heater controls is an option or not. I did take a newer model knob, pulled out the metal liner from the hole, drilled it out, and then put the metal liner from original knob in with a drop of super glue. Pay attention to the original orientation when replacing the metal liner. It works, but I never bothered to make two more. I just live with the cracked knobs.

I did find it at mopargiant.com website for $165. Dorman makes one for about same if you send in your core. I replaced mine 5 years ago with a mopar unit when i bought my used 2003 Libby.

get a buddy with a 3D printer and have him scan your existing knob and make a few. They might not be perfect the first time around, but 3D is amazing! My son made a replacement for an ammo magazine for me that I had lost years back. He scanned an existing with his phone and a few hours later, i had a working model.
