I've got an 05 CRD with 3.73's that I'd like to put 4.11's in. A local place has factory 4.11 diffs that I can get for about the same cost as new gears alone. ($250 per diff)

It seems like swapping the diffs and howsings would be the easiest way to go. My question is, is it?

Can anyone weigh in on factory transplant vs traditional re-gear?

If so, what's involved?
