Hey everybody I need some help. I wana to know how to keep your fog lights on with your high beams. There is an article on the How To section but I have stupid dial up and can't download the link on the page.

If you guys can give me a link on how to do it (that doesn't require downloading that would be great). Or you could just tell me :)

Do you have an internet connection at work that isn't dial-up? That write-up with the download is probably the best you will get, very good information and details. Took me only 10 minutes to do the mod...

Spend $65 bucks at walmart for a pair of Hella 500FF's and install them on your front bumper.
Set to beams to cover the area your High beams would cover and your done.
Then you can drive with your Fogs, Low beams and hellas on all at once. :)
Then you won't have to mess with your factory wiring and risk shorting anything out.

After that, go to a pep boys and by the hella grille light covers for $20 bucks so make them look nice.

Check out my Cardmain page (Link below) so see what my hella's look like. You and I have the same style of front end.

On road surely but off road it's cool. It's illegal here in Canada too but we're all responsible adults and won't drive around blinding folks now will we? I mean, nobody has HID light conversions without the proper projector housings right? I did the mod and it works awesome on back roads at night without blinding anyone but the rodents, varmits, deer, moose and bear, and I mean come on, what are they doing out at night? Don't they sleep or something?

To quote George Carlin: "Cop didn't see it, I didn't do it."
Yeah till you get caught:D

Just like back home,it is illegal to have more then 4 white lights facing forward, even if they are off those added offroad lights without covers on is illegal. Will the cops do anything about it? No since it is a $20 fine, they wait to catch you with them on where it's a $600 fine per light.

The wording here in MN is no more than four forward facing clear lights excluding fog lights.

So basically you can get by with a pair of Hella's on the front bumper, but then they are only allowed to be on with the high beams.

Anything on the roof being turned on while driving on a road of any kind is basically illegal because its above the maximum height limit of lighting. I know one guy that ticketed for it, he argued because he had two lights on this rollbar on his pickup and none on the front bumper that he still only had four forward facing lights, but it still has to be within a range of measurements above ground level, which seems to be specified slightly different from state to state.

It's not a $600 fine per light here though thankfully... OUCH!

I'm sorry that this post will probably piss most of you off but let me just say this:

A: Lay off the man I mean my /god/ seriously everything he posts ya'll jump down on top of his ass and he don't even get a chance to say anything and no TBJ I ain't butt hurt I'm just tired of him being patronized.

B: Loves_off_roading if you want to know how I'll tell you how it's pretty simple, wire into the turn signal wire and if I remember correctly it's the red wire that you need to connect your fogs too because I have done it

C: It is not illegal in 100% of the United States folks, I don't know where you all got your law degrees but Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, and few other states

D: Honestly I like you guys but when someone asks a question that is repeatedly asked you all act like king /*****/ and truthfully we should be a family not individuals, we all come to this site for one thing: JEEPS.. not to be a'holes or king /*****/ but to be family

E: You can lock this topic if you like but honestly these things should be taken into consideration all of this should be addressed to each member this is a forum that should be a family but a few bad apples ruin the bunch for the rest. I guess I can really understand why a few have left the forum and started their own..

Maybe he needed to vent...

No I was actually referring to some other posts that he was called out on the carpet for, I just wanted everyone to know that he has been getting called out, if anyone should be called up on the carpet it should be *No Names Needed* and I think you can figure that one out.
