My radio got fried and I had to cut the antenna off of it. Too bad though...i have no knowledge of how to splice anything. I was wondering if anyone could explain how to replace the antenna? Good ideas for a new one?

I have an aftermarket radio as well, if that helps.

Thanks,
Joey

You cut the wire, or you cut the antenna? Why would you have to cut anything if your radio fried?

I was also wondering if anyone could tell me where there is a good grounding bolt behind the radio? Or at least close to it?

I'm no expert but I picked up (not installed yet) this hidden antenna thing on ebay, the thing for me is it needs a cr20 adapter to install it into the stock radio.
But if you're not replacing yours with a stock one you wont need the adapter.

It also needs to be attached to a positive source, which I plan on T-tapping into the radio harness.
You could probably just T-tap into a ground the same way.

Of course I could be all wrong on that, I'd see what others have to say.
