Hood Decal Question

Greetings everyone. Have a quick question, and I hope it's not a stupid one. I searched the forum, but couldn't find an answer to my question.

I have a 2012 Jeep Liberty Arctic Edition, and wondered about the hood decal. Should I avoid or is it okay to put a coat of wax on it?

Not my picture, but my Jeep looks exactly like this one...

I would avoid it. And mask off the edges, especially if you're using any sort of polisher. Sharp Jeep!

first off welcome to JKJC. as for the decal i would avoid waxing it. chemical guys has a few matte care products you may want to look into. where in New York are you?
