Hints For Putting the Spare Tire Cover On

There has to be an easier way to put the spare tire cover on.
Once you start, it "sticks" to the tire so it can't be moved to get the logo level... so I'm wondering if there's something that can be sprayed on the tire or inside the cover to make the job easier.
Someone suggested soapy water, but I'd be concerned that might affect the cover's lining.
Any other suggestions?

Soapy water is fine, used to clean mine every week when I'd wash the KJ back when I ran one.

I used it hold it up in place so the logos would be good and then slip the top on, then the sides and bottom. Never had an issue.
