I couldn't wait anymore, yesterday the Liberty got Frankenlifted! It's a driveway chore. The clevis on both sides kicked my &^%. Then last night I read some tricks on L.O.S.T. that I wish I would have read before doing the install. The only rub I have is at full lock on the swaybar. It looks better than I expected, now I can't wait to get it off road. Back glass even pops open with the 31"x10.50" on the stock carrier.

This is really a two man job, at the very least a three ********. Unfortunately, I have only two hands, so big thanks go out to my wife for helping me to intstall the lift on her KJ.

Last night I took it by the local Jeep dealership to compare it to a stock Liberty. The top of the fender flare on mine is as tall as a stock hood. Funniest part was the General Manager was closing up shop and was very impressed. He wants me to bring it by there today so they can take pictures to show potential Liberty buyers.

You should be glad you weren't witness to all the cussing, hollering, and hair pulling.

Well, Frankenlift is a slang term for a conglomeration of parts used to lift a vehicle. All J's named their lift that, it uses OME springs, Rancho struts/shocks, and Daystar spacers/bumpstops. It is the best lift on the market for the KJ, although a bit pricey than some of the others. Check it out here:

Believe it or not, no. With the radio on you don't even hear them. Then again, I haven't had it over fifty yet. Tomorrow we're taking the kids to the zoo in Norfolk, fifty some odd miles away, I'll tell you for sure after that.

I thought there would be more noise. Especially being that I removed the liner.
