help with heat / AC anyone?

hmmmm.... all of a sudden temp blowing through vents is the same temp no matter what cool - hot setting I put it on, and AC light on switch is not coming on. Any thoughts would be appreciated, I'd rather be out riding back roads and hunting for bush chickens right now. Fan speeds work, switch for rear window defrost / heated mirrors works and lights up, blower control for defrost / floor / front vents work (yes I know it's vacuum)
Weird that when I press AC switch the pump engages, but the light don't come on, and temp don't change. I find it odd cause the wiring harness is one big bugger and not individual

Any Fuses suggested I should check?
Possibly faulty switch and need to change the heat / AC control switch?
suggestions for process of elimination before I start spending more $$?

Not sure about the AC switch light since my 02 doesn't have a separate switch but if the temp is just feeling cold or ambient when you try the heat then could be blend door actuator motor.

for the $20 bucks, I'll try changing the switches first, if that don't work, looks like I have a fairly long chunk of work ahead of me, thanks for the info and tutorial

It may not be coming on due to the fact that you could have low refrigerant.
