Help !! engine sputtering then dies at idle.

Thanks for all the suggestions !! Had a buddy stop by this morning with diagnostic scanner and check for codes (there were no stored codes), and run the IAC through a diagnostic cycle (basically idled it up and down and the computer tracked the IAC through it's commands to see if it was doing what it was supposed to). He seemed to think the most likely cause is bad gas at this point.
