During major snow storm was cleaning off the windshield and lifted up the blades, then let one drop and the black clip popped up. When I pushed down on the clip to lock it back in, it broke.
So since the stock stuff does not like cold weather, what can I replace both front with. Need blades and the whole plastic thing that locks into the hook on the arm. Do they make them in metal snaps?

Are you in the lower mainland of B.C.?
If so, on Kingsway, there is a store called Midland liquidators.
You can buy Tridon wiper blades for $4.99 each. Either that or check out a Crappy tire and ask somebody at the parts counter if they have any spare clips laying around.

1 vote for the crappy tire winter blades. They last as long, and work as well as any others I have tried and at 6 bucks each they are much more affordable. I always use Rain-X anyways which seems to extend the life cycle a bit and keeps my windshield a lot cleaner.

A few winters ago I got a pair of Canadian Tire winter wiper blades and they worked great. Last winter I bought a second pair and they were JUNK! Wouldn't sit flat on the windshield, streaked like the dickens right from the get go. Lost the receipt too, so I couldn't return them. May have just got a badly made set or something.

I can't even remember what's on there right now, maybe Rain-x. Doing a great job though. I did a couple of Rain-X liquid applications on the glass last fall and that seemed to make a difference too.
