How can I figure out what my problem is without going and buying new bulbs?

if your left headlight is still good, and your right is blown, swap the bulbs from side to side. if the problem stays with the bad bulb (ie. right goes to left, now left dosen't work) odds are it's the bulb.

hope it helps
