When I get gas, the nozzle will not stop when the tank is full. I went to the service department and they told me I need a new gas tank for $1000. I have a 2008 Jeep Liberty. Is this really the solution. I feel like they are trying to get over on me.

my 07 frequently burps and overflows. something about the design of it prevents the auto-shutoff from activating at an early enough time.

make sure the filler nozzle is shoved as far in as possible.

I had this issue one time about 7 years ago during a road trip to NY City, and its never happened again. Darn faulty BP Pumps! Best of luck!
